Acceptable Use Policy
What you must not do with Workproof. The first section is specific to this trade and it is the part that matters most.

- Workproof, johncharlescontractors.com
What are the rules that are specific to this kind of work?
Four, and they exist because this product could otherwise be used to mislead a customer about who did what and how well.
- Do not upload photographs of work you did not do and present it as yours. Every job requires you to confirm the photographs are your own, taken by you on that job. Passing off another trade’s work is the most serious breach of this policy and it ends the account immediately.
- Do not use output to claim qualifications, accreditations, memberships, insurance or a track record you do not hold. A stage record shows what was photographed. It says nothing about your standing and must not be used as though it did.
- Do not present unfinished work as finished. Do not label a stage “After” or “Complete” where the work is not, and do not build a record that implies a job reached a state it has not reached.
- Do not use output in place of a statutory inspection, a sign-off, a test certificate or a safety certification. This is set out in full in the AI Disclaimer, and it is the one rule where a breach can put somebody in danger.
What is the general list of things I cannot do?
Do not use Workproof to create, store or distribute content that:
- Breaks any law that applies to you or to us.
- Infringes anybody's copyright, trade marks, design rights, database rights or trade secrets.
- Defames, harasses, threatens, bullies or stalks any person.
- Invades somebody's privacy, including photographing the inside of a property without the right to be there and to record it.
What about children?
Any content that sexualises or endangers a minor is prohibited absolutely. We remove it, terminate the account without notice or refund, preserve the evidence, and report it to law enforcement and to the relevant child-protection body, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where that applies.
There are people in some of my site photos. What are the rules?
You are responsible for having the agreement of anybody identifiable in a photograph you upload, before you upload it. That includes your own crew, other trades on site, and any occupant who happens to be in shot. The obligation is set out in the Content License.
Beyond that, you must not use the service to:
- Create a likeness of a real person who has not agreed to it, or content that impersonates a real person.
- Produce intimate imagery of anybody without their agreement.
- Clone anybody's voice.
What counts as harmful content?
- Content that promotes or celebrates violence, terrorism, or the harming of any person.
- Instructions for weapons, explosives, or attacks on systems or infrastructure.
- Content attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
- Targeted abuse or coordinated harassment of any individual.
What about deception generally?
- Fraud, scams, phishing, or any attempt to obtain money or details by deception.
- Fake reviews, fake endorsements, or fabricated customer feedback.
- Political or election disinformation.
- Impersonating Workproof, JOHN CHARLES CONTRACTORS LTD, or anybody connected with either.
- Any material misrepresentation about work, price, timescale or who carried it out.
Are there subjects that are off limits?
- Content presented as professional legal, medical or financial advice.
- Adult sexual content.
- Gambling services.
- Promotion of prescription medicines, controlled substances, tobacco, vaping products or weapons.
This is a tool for making a record of building and installation work. Anything outside that is out of scope, and the regulated categories above are prohibited outright.
What about the service itself?
- Do not work around rate limits, the allowance system, plan gates or access controls, or use multiple accounts to do so.
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or prompts.
- Do not resell access, or run the service on somebody else's behalf as an undisclosed intermediary.
- Do not run automated traffic against the service outside a documented interface.
- Do not upload malware, or anything designed to disrupt the service or other users.
What happens if I break these rules?
Depending on what happened and whether it looks deliberate:
- We remove the content.
- We warn you, and tell you what specifically was wrong.
- We suspend the account while we look into it.
- We close the account permanently, without a refund.
- Where the law requires it, we report it to the authorities.
Passing off somebody else’s work, content involving minors, and using output in place of a safety certification go straight to permanent closure.
